Cheesy Crustless Quiche with Broccoli and Ham

The center stage in this delicious food is ham, broccoli, and cheese. It is low-carb, gluten-free dish and full of rich creamy goodness. These three main ingredients enveloped in a silky custard that is irresistible in this crustless quiche. And only a few minutes to prepare. Surely you will forget about the crust when you bite into the soft and ultra creamy custard made with heavy cream and whole eggs and egg yolks. With the grated cheese, ham, and broccoli folded into the delicate custard add a substance that is both pleasing and filling. There is a trick to create a tender and creamy filling that is heavy cream and a lot of egg yolks.

Here is how to prepare this delicious food.

  • Vegetable oil spray
  • 1 medium stalk broccoli, stem, and crown
  • 5 ounces ham steak, cut to cubed
  • 1 ½ cups grated cheddar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 large egg yolks
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ⅛ teaspoon black pepper

Prepare the oven and baking dish. With 375 degrees Fahrenheit. With vegetable oil spray a 9-inch round ceramic baking dish or pie pan. Set aside.

A large saucepan with salted water, bring to boil. Cut the broccoli stem and peel the stem. Cut into 1/2inch-thick, bite-sized pieces. With the broccoli, crown cut it into small florets.

Pour the broccoli in the boiling water with salt until cook for 4 to 5 minutes, or until tender. With the use of strainer remove the broccoli from the water, then spread over the bottom of the baking dish.

Spread the cubed ham over the broccoli. Set aside 1/2 cup of the cheese to sprinkle on top of the filled quiche. Then, sprinkle the reserved cheese over the broccoli.

Using the medium bowl, whisk the eggs and egg yolks together. Add cream, salt, and pepper. Then, pour the cream mixture over the filling in the pan and sprinkle the top with the set-aside cheese
